HARD‑WHERE
Where hardware is made. We’re a new hardware design company building practical, U.S.-designed components and tools—starting with a RAM initiative to help alleviate U.S. supply constraints, plus a modular macro keypad for makers.

Built by brothers, raised in Colstrip
HARD-WHERE was founded by Travis Smith and Luke Smith—brothers from Colstrip, MT. Travis earned degrees in Computer Science and Cyber Security from Minot State University. Luke is pursuing a Computer Engineering degree at Montana State University.

Focused on turning ambitious ideas into shippable products—balancing reliability, security-minded engineering, and rapid iteration.

Engineering-driven and detail-oriented—building hardware that's elegant, modular, and ready for real-world use.
